Classes

Wheel classes are held in sessions which usually ranges from 8-12 weeks. You commit to an entire session. Clay and Firing are not included and are purchased as needed.  A block of clay is about $28 (depending on the clay supplier's price) and should last a beginning student six weeks.  Sometimes we have reclaim clay available for less.  Firing/Glazing is based on the size of pot being fired.  I have a chart to measure pots in the studio.  A mug sized pot costs 3-4 dollars to fire.  A beginning student may produce a couple of pots per week.  There will also be studio practice time available outside of the class time for students to practice at no extra charge.  Watch here for classes and subscribe to our mailing list to get upcoming class and workshop announcements delivered to your inbox.

Schedule

Classes are ongoing. Contact the studio for the latest scheduling and availability.

The Studio Gallery will be open by appointment or chance. Feel free to visit the new studio.  I'd be happy to give tours.

Specialty Workshops

I offer specialty workshops - contact the studio for more information.

The Studio

My studio is a recreational art facility founded in September, 2004 and recently moved to Hall's Harbour, Nova Scotia. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and relaxing environment where children and adults can socialize, play, and experience art making in a positive non-intimidating way. I am dedicated to the instruction of beginner students and the encouragement of intermediate students by providing facilities and a meeting place for the growth and exchange of ideas and creativity.

Hours of Operation:

I am around often but, I am sometimes busy teaching classes and making pots. It is a good idea if you phone to leave a message. I check messages frequently and I'll call you back.
